Formerly known as Grand Peace Funeral Parlour, the renovated renamed Global Funeral Parlour that draws public attention was officially opened in March. As the only funeral parlour in Hong Kong that is directly operated by the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department (fehd), it has been outsourced by the public bidding system every five years since 2002. The current operating rights are obtained by the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals. Global Funeral Parlour is one of the most important funeral parlours in Hong Kong.
